Latest results
Our results site has every session’s results, with each pair’s score and percentage, board-by-board scores, and hand records with double-dummy analysis. The archive goes back to 2021.
The results site opens in a new tab. It isn’t designed for phones, so you may need to pinch to zoom.
Understanding the results
New to duplicate bridge scoring? Here’s a quick guide to reading the results.
What does my percentage mean?
Pairs sessions are usually scored by matchpoints. On each board, your score is compared with every other pair who played the same cards in the same direction: you earn a matchpoint for each pair you beat and half a matchpoint for each pair you tie with. Your percentage is your share of all the matchpoints available in the session, so 50% is an average game and 60% or more is a very good one.
Why are there separate North-South and East-West results?
In most pairs sessions, North-South pairs are only compared with other North-South pairs, and East-West pairs with other East-West pairs. So each direction has its own list, and there can be a winner in each.
What are hand records?
Hand records show the cards dealt on each board: a diagram of all four hands, with the dealer and vulnerability. On our results site they’re under Detailed Boards Analysis, along with a table of how many tricks each side can make in each suit and no-trumps if every card is played perfectly (double-dummy analysis). They’re a great way to look back at a tricky hand after the session.
How do I find my own result?
Open the results site with the button above, then click the name of the session you played. Pairs are listed by name, with each pair’s place, score and percentage; your pair number is shown in brackets after your names. Board Summary shows how every pair did on each board, and the site’s Individual History page shows a player’s results over time.
What are the Handicap results?
Some sessions also have a Handicap version of the results. [ANSWER: HOW THE CLUB’S HANDICAP RESULTS WORK]
